Stressful situations

Sometimes it is glaringly obvious what the cause of our inner turmoil is, such as a move, divorce, job loss, or the death of a loved one. Often, there is little we can do to change such circumstances directly, and we must simply bide our time patiently for better days ahead.

In stressful situations, we can lean on so-called adaptogenic herbs for support. These herbs help us to adapt (in English: to adapt) to changing and challenging circumstances. Well-known adaptogens include, among others, Panax ginseng, Eleutherococcus ("Siberian ginseng"), Ashwagandha ("Indian ginseng"), Rhodiola rosea ("ginseng of the 21st century") and Dong Quai (the "female ginseng").

If there is also tension, one can additionally make use of calming herbs such as valerian. Conversely, in the case of gloomy moods, it is better to use uplifting herbs like St. John's Wort.
