I often read on the internet that 25ug is the maximum safe daily dosage for zinc. If you take this supplement daily and also get some zinc from your daily diet, won't you be consuming too much in the long term?
On 31 january 2021 by Customer serviceThe safe daily dose is always determined with a generous margin, and the amount we typically consume through diet is also taken into account. Therefore, it is not an issue to take 20 mg of zinc per day from a supplement.
No matter when I take the tablets, whether in the morning or evening with a meal, I become extremely nauseous an hour after taking them. Sometimes I even vomit. Why is this happening?
On 23 november 2020 by Customer serviceUnfortunately, zinc can indeed cause such symptoms; it can induce nausea in some individuals with a sensitive stomach. It's best to take zinc in the evening after dinner. A lower dose might also be beneficial, or you could try a different form of zinc, such as zinc methionine or zinc picolinate.
The description for this zinc states that it is a Vegan food supplement with sweeteners. However, I don't see any sweeteners listed in the ingredients. Are there sweeteners in it or not? I need to be 100% sure and rely on this information. I usually use zinc picolinate, is this form of zinc with copper also well-absorbed?
