Ascorbate vitamin C, buffered (deacidified) vitamin C

Vitamin C is also known as ascorbic acid. It is naturally an acidic substance that can be combined with a basic component such as calcium or magnesium. These compounds are referred to as ascorbates: calcium ascorbate and magnesium ascorbate. A special form of this is Ester-C.

Ester-C®

A special, patented form of buffered vitamin C is the so-called Ester-C®. This compound contains, in addition to calcium ascorbate, metabolites of vitamin C, namely L-threonine acid, L-lyonine acid, and L-xylonine acid.
