Biotin 5000 µg (biotin 5000 mcg)

I have been using Biotin for a year now, starting with a lower dosage every day, and with this high dosage, I take 2 to 3 per week. I (and my hairdresser and people around me) have noticed that my hair grows MUCH faster and stays in much better condition; I don’t need to get dead ends/split ends trimmed for months. Additionally, I had a "gap" in my eyelashes for years where a few lashes were much shorter, but since I started taking Biotin, they have all grown back to the same length! (As soon as I stop taking Biotin, I notice the gap returns after 3-4 weeks) Personally, I don’t notice any effect on my nails. A small note: the faster growth of your hair applies to all your hair ;)

There is also another beneficial effect for me: I have less craving for sugar and my blood sugar levels seem to be better balanced when I use it. During a two-week period when I was without biotin, this effect became very clear: I suddenly couldn't stay away from the sweet jar! Now that I am taking biotin again, that is significantly less. Combining it with chromium might enhance this effect, so I will give that a try. A small disclaimer: I have PCOS, which makes my blood sugar levels more likely to go out of balance, so perhaps this effect is more noticeable for me than for others.
