Bio-Omega 3&6 provides 360 mg of borage oil, of which 80 mg is gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). It also contains 140 mg of fish oil and a small amount of arachidonic acid per capsule. I am looking for omega 3 capsules for during pregnancy, but I only see the composition of bio-omega, which seems rather low, as the minimum requirement during pregnancy should be a daily intake of 250 mg DHA and EPA?
On 12 march 2014 by Customer serviceBio Omega 3&6 fatty acids does indeed contain a relatively low dose of EPA and DHA per capsule. For this brand (Pharma Nord), it would be better to use the Bio Marine Mother & Child, which provides 175 mg of EPA and 125 mg of DHA per capsule (the recommended dosage is two capsules per day, thus 350 mg of EPA and 250 mg of DHA).
