Glutamine

L-glutamine is available as a loose powder and in capsules. The powder dissolves well, has a neutral, slightly sweet taste, and is relatively more economical than L-glutamine in capsules.

Glutamine is an amino acid that is found in our daily diet (in dairy, eggs, meat, grains, and vegetables) and can also be produced by our own bodies. As such, glutamine is classified as a non-essential amino acid. However, there are situations where the intake of extra glutamine is desirable. For this reason, glutamine is sometimes referred to as a semi-essential amino acid.

Glutamine is available in capsules and as loose powder. Those who wish to consume larger amounts of glutamine, for example, three times a day four grams (a common dose among strength and endurance athletes), may prefer the loose powder as it is significantly more economical. Additionally, glutamine dissolves well in water and has a fairly neutral taste.
