Cat's Claw

The cat's claw (Uncaria tomentosa), better known as Cat's Claw, is a climbing plant native to the Amazon region. It is traditionally used to support the body's natural defences. The vine is known among the Spanish population as uña de gato, and amongst indigenous shamans as vilcacora.

The inner bark contains the highest concentration of active substances.

Some Cat's Claw products are free from tetracyclic oxindole alkaloids. These can be identified by "Samento" or "TAO-free" in the product name.

Do not confuse it with devil's claw!
