In my experience, it works very well for sensitive and/or slightly bleeding gums. I also feel that it keeps my teeth cleaner than regular toothpaste. Personally, I’m not a fan of 'alternative' tasting toothpastes (think a mix between fennel soup and dandelions), so this version (the red tube) with mint suits me best. It does take some getting used to that it doesn’t 'foam', as you often associate that with 'clean' due to regular toothpaste. That’s a bit of a mental hurdle, but I’ve adjusted to it now. I appreciate that it contains not only natural ingredients but also that Weleda does not test on animals. For that reason, you can be sure it’s not anthroposophical. This is an extra plus point for me regarding this product.
Ratanhia Toothpaste strengthens and firms the gums, tightening them around the tooth root, ensuring the teeth remain firmly rooted. With proper brushing using Ratanhia Toothpaste, plaque doesn't stand a chance. With a gentle mint flavour.
Effect:
It is the extract from the Ratanhia root that keeps the gums strong and healthy. If the gums are red and sensitive, Ratanhia and myrrh provide a purifying effect. Chalk acts as a natural abrasive without damaging the enamel.
