Vitamin B12 500 mcg from Vitals consists of lozenges with a maintenance dosage of the biologically active forms ylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin (also known as dibencozide). These are the forms as vitamin B12 occurs in food and is used by the body. In many other vitamin B12 products, cyanocobalamin is used, a synthetic form that does not occur naturally. Here, the cobalamin is strongly bound to cyanide, which must first be detached. Cyanide has no function in the body and must therefore be excreted.

- is important for the formation of red blood cells
- is important for energy metabolism
- contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism
- has a positive effect on the functioning of the immune system

Sweeteners (mannitol and xylitol), bulking agent (hydroxypropylcellulose), anti-caking agent (magnesium salts of fatty acids), cherry flavouring, acidity regulator (citric acid), adenosylcobalamin, ylcobalamin.
Allow 1 lozenge to dissolve under the tongue daily. If necessary, the dosage can be increased to 2 lozenges per day. Stick to the recommended dosage. Contains sweeteners. Excessive consumption may have a laxative effect.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Note:
This product does not contain folate or B6, allowing the use of a multi with folate and B6 in combination with this B12 product.
