Natural curcumin powder is fat-soluble and is absorbed with great difficulty by the body. For optimal effect, one would need to consume very large amounts of turmeric daily. The bioavailability can be increased by applying specific technologies to the turmeric extract, such as solubilisate technology. Thanks to this technology, the turmeric in CurcuDyn® is absorbed up to 185 times better than unprocessed turmeric extract and 1350 times compared to standard turmeric powder (root) [source: Schiborr et al., Mol. Nutr. Food Res., 2014, 58, 516-527].
In addition to turmeric and ginger extract, CurcuDyn® also contains vitamin D to support muscles and vitamin C for the normal formation of cartilage.

It might be a bit of an odd question, but if turmeric is better absorbed in fat/oil, can you mix a bit of turmeric powder with olive oil (or flaxseed oil) along with black pepper and use it? What's better about the supplements besides a slightly higher absorption compared to a homemade concoction? Thank you.
