Yes, Valerian Extract, Mental Health, and Menopause Forte can be combined well.

You should discuss the reduction of your medication with your doctor. But for now, you could first see how supplementing with valerian works for you.

The Care for Women Mood is a multivitamin without any herbs included. It is a relatively neutral product. It is fine as support, but without a noticeable calming effect.

If you are mainly struggling with restlessness, valerian is actually the best remedy, for example, the Valerian Extract from Vitaminhealth. Valerian can be combined with lormetazepam, although you should keep in mind that both have a relaxing effect, so using them together may cause additional relaxation (possibly also drowsiness).

Valerian can be well combined with Mental Health and the Care for Women Menopause Forte.

Lormetazepam is a benzodiazepine that acts as a muscle relaxant and suppresses feelings of anxiety. It is therefore remarkable that you mention "terrible restlessness" and panic attacks as side effects. These side effects are indeed the opposite of the effects of this medication. It would be wise to discuss this with your doctor, so that he can possibly prescribe you another medication. Or perhaps the restlessness and panic attacks are not caused by the medication, and you actually need a higher dose (or additional therapy) to address your inner unrest.

Mental Health contains St. John's Wort, which can shorten the duration of medication's effects. Lormetazepam may also be broken down more quickly, resulting in a shorter duration of action. It is permissible to combine them, provided you take into account the reduced effectiveness of your medication.

Given the composition, it is possible to increase the dose of Mental Health to 2 tablets per day. However, keep in mind that St. John's Wort is not a relaxing herb. It is used for low moods and mild to moderate (non-clinical) depression. The effect of St. John's Wort is therefore stimulating, rather than relaxing. If you seek inner peace and are looking for a natural alternative to your medication, it would be better to use relaxing herbs, such as valerian, or nutrients like magnesium, as found in the
Metarelax tablets.

However, if you are experiencing low moods, then Mental Health would be suitable. But even in that case, you should discuss this with your doctor, as low mood may be a side effect of your medication (which has a sedative effect).

Mental Health also contains St. John’s Wort as its main ingredient. There has not been sufficient research on the use of St. John’s Wort during the breastfeeding period to determine whether it can be used safely. As a precaution, its use is therefore discouraged, although there is no concrete evidence to suggest it would be harmful. This applies to almost all medicinal herbs, not just St. John’s Wort.

A small portion of the active ingredients may enter the milk, but there is no reason to believe this would be detrimental to the child’s health. St. John’s Wort oil has been applied by breastfeeding mothers to their nipples for hundreds of years to protect against cracks.

You might consider whether St. John’s Wort shows any improvement. If your mood improves, it will undoubtedly have a positive effect on your child.
